Come make history and march with us in the Happy Birthday America parade! Whether you’re a Cub Scout, in Scouts BSA, or part of a Venturing Crew, we want YOU there to represent. There is absolutely no registration or headcount needed—just rally your unit and show up ready to march! ?

? The Float: Camp Shenandoah Lake Scene
We are turning a massive flatbed trailer into a slice of summer camp!

Cub Scouts: You get to ride the float! You'll be sitting on our "shoreline" with fishing poles dangling cardboard fish over the side. ? (Space on the trailer is first-come, first-served!)

Scouts & Crews: You’ll be marching alongside the Camp Shenandoah summer camp staff, bringing the hype and flying your unit flags high! ?

VIP Alert: Keep an eye out for Baldy riding front and center in the truck cab! ?

? The Game Plan

When to Arrive: The float MUST be in place by 8:45 AM. Scouts arrive between9-9:30 AM. The parade rolls at 10:00 AM sharp! ⏰ (Note: Thornrose Ave closes to traffic at 7:00 AM, so plan your drop-offs accordingly!)

Where to Meet: Enter via Beverley Street onto Thornrose Avenue. Look for the giant Camp Shenandoah lake float—that is our rally point! ?

Uniform: Full Class A uniform for all youth and adults. Let’s look sharp out there! ?⚜️

What to Bring: Your official Pack, Troop, or Crew flags! We want to see a massive sea of colors flying down the route.

? Swag & Safety (CRUCIAL RULE)
We will provide mini American flags for everyone to wave, plus bags packed with BeAScout info, stickers, and candy to hand out. PARADE RULE: There is absolutely NO THROWING candy or items into the crowd. Everything must be handed directly to the spectators along the route. ?

Throw on that Class A and let’s show the Shenandoah Valley what Scouting is all about! See you on the 4th! ?
