Stand With Ismael: A Celebration of Community

Join us for Stand With Ismael: A Celebration of Community... a peaceful, family-friendly gathering to show support and love for Ismael Sandoval, a beloved husband, father, and business owner who was recently detained by ICE right here in Staunton.

We’ll begin at Route 66 Park to make signs and write notes of solidarity and encouragement for Ismael and his family. Then, together, we’ll walk as a group to Caldera Bar & Grill to stand outside in unity and compassion.

Bring a handmade sign, a candle, or just your presence and support.

Now more than ever, we need to stand beside our neighbors and show that Staunton is a community built on love, not fear.
