From its beginnings in the late 1800s - sparked by devastating downtown fires and the formation of early volunteer companies - the department has grown into a modern, professional organization equipped to respond to a wide range of emergencies, all while maintaining strong ties to the community it proudly serves.

The celebration will begin with an opening ceremony featuring remarks from the Fire Chief and local officials, followed by a keynote presentation highlighting the department’s history, growth, and lasting impact.

Throughout the event, attendees can experience both the past and present of firefighting through live firefighter muster activities, fire extinguisher demonstrations, and a fun parent-child firefighter tug of war.
