Join the Statesboro Regional Art Association on April 22nd from 4–6 PM at West Main Gallery for a fun, hands-on Kindness Rock Painting event.

✨ What to expect:

Paint and decorate your own kindness rocks
Acrylic paints and markers provided (you're welcome to bring your own supplies too)
Create something meaningful, fun, or inspiring
Take your rocks to place around downtown Statesboro—or keep them as a reminder of the day

This community initiative is happening with the approval and support of the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority and the City of Statesboro, so you can feel confident participating and spreading kindness throughout downtown.

After the event, we encourage everyone to join in our Kindness Rock Movement by placing rocks around downtown for others to find, enjoy, and pass along. Think of it as a creative, community-wide scavenger hunt spreading small moments of joy 💛

A special thank you to GreenRock Recycling for providing rocks made from recycled materials and the Averitt Center's after-school program for decorating the first rocks to be placed around town!

🌿 Kindness Rock Guidelines:

Please do not place rocks on monuments or in cemeteries
Do not place rocks in locals businesses without permission
Avoid areas where rocks could become tripping hazards or be disturbed by maintenance (ie grass areas or frequently maintained areas)
Skip glued-on items (like plastic eyes) that could become litter or harm wildlife
If using labels, be sure they’re sealed well
