Please join us at Starbuck VFW Post #4582 on Friday, November 7th, for our Veterans Day Dinner, social hour from 5 pm to 6 pm, and dinner at 6:15 pm. This event is an important time for our community to come together in honor of the men and women who have served our country. Bring your family, share a meal, and stand with us as we recognize the service and sacrifice that protect our freedom.

Over the past year, our Post has experienced several organizational changes, including updates in officer roles, gambling management, and bar management. After more than nine months of working with the former bar manager to address repeated policy violations and implement directives from the VFW House Committee, the decision was made to end employment. This decision was not taken lightly. It was made to protect the integrity, safety, and mission of our Post and its operations.

We are aware of the negative comments, calls for boycotts, and false information circulating in the community and on social media. We understand that change can be difficult and that people may disagree. However, spreading rumors and withdrawing support does not help our veterans—it weakens the support system that exists for them. We respectfully ask that concerns be brought directly to Post leadership, where they can be heard and addressed constructively and transparently.

Your elected officers are working in the best interest of Starbuck VFW Post #4582 and its members. Our focus remains on serving veterans, supporting their families, and ensuring this Post remains a strong foundation for future generations. We are committed to moving forward with integrity, respect, and dedication to our mission. We appreciate those of you that have continued to support us.

The Starbuck VFW was built to honor and support veterans—those who served so we may live in freedom and peace. Boycotting the Post does not support them. Instead, we encourage our members, Auxiliary, and community to come together: attend the Veterans Day event, renew your membership, volunteer, and participate in our programs. We sincerely ask for your continued support not only on November 7th, but every day going forward. Your ongoing presence—sharing a meal, stopping in for a visit, volunteering a little time, or simply showing up—strengthens the foundation of this Post and the community it serves.

Our Post remains strong, and we are confident that with unity and continued community support, Starbuck VFW Post #4582 will continue to thrive. Let this year’s Veterans Dinner be a positive step toward renewed connection and shared purpose. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to myself or any of the Post officers. We are listening, and we are here to move forward, together.
