- **Event Description**: Each year, approximately one million pregnancies in the U.S. end in miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of the newborn child. Lakewood Health System hosts a special ceremony to acknowledge these painful losses and provide comfort to families each year.

Those who have been touched by a pregnancy or infant loss are invited to a ceremony of dedication and remembrance on Monday, Oct. 6. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the lower level of Lakewood’s main campus in Staples (49725 County 83).

The nondenominational ceremony will include time for reflection, a message from Pastor Don Reigstad, luminary lighting, and a special water service at the Serenity Sanctuary fountain. Lakewood obstetrics nurses will also be in attendance to offer support.
