Students will learn the techniques of linocut carving; use printmaking inks; and generate original prints on paper (or fabric!) pulled by hand. We will have an optional theme of 'plants, moths and insects' to inspire imagery. Students will take home a series of paper prints, optional fabric pouch, and a carved block. The block can be reused again and again to print with ink on paper/fabric or can be used to transfer enamels onto flat or curved glass. (Please note: this 1-day workshop will not have access to kilns and we will not be printing on to glass).No need to be 'good at drawing' to take this course.
