BLUE CARD REQUIREMENT
As part of Stanthorpe Little Theatres commitment to minimise the risks of harm to children and young people by contributing to the creation of safe and supportive environments; we are have instigated a compulsory blue card rule for all productions which involve young people under the age of 18. This is in line with a majority of other volunteer and community groups under the new 'No Card, No Start' law representing a stronger safeguard for children in Queensland.
All cast and crew members in the production who are over the age of 18 must either hold and submit their copy of a blue card or an exemption card ( for professions such as teachers and police officers) or complete the blue card application as soon as casting has been completed.
Please note that this is not negotiable nor a matter for discussion.
Blue cards for crew and cast are free of charge and after submitting the form, it will takes around 3 weeks to arrive with an expiry of 2 years.
Failure to submit either an application form or to produce a current blue card, will unfortunately preclude an individual in being involved in the production.
Please use the link below to access a PDF of the application. This takes only moments to fill out and is FREE.
Please bring all completed forms ( or a photo of a current blue card) to Shannon (the President), Chris ( Director) or Annie (Secretary & Memberships) to sign.
Thank you for taking the safety of our young people seriously.
