- **Event Description**: Making learning active across the curriculum!About this EventDear colleagues,We’re delighted to invite you to a free networking and practice-sharing event at Gorsefield Rural Studies and Outdoor Activity Centre, focused on Outdoor and Adventurous Activities (OAA) in PE and physically active learning (PAL) across the curriculum.This event is open to Headteachers, members of SLT, curriculum leaders, and PE, English and Maths coordinators from both primary and secondary schools.Why attend?Gorsefield has recently installed a full Cross-Curricular Orienteering course, significantly upgrading our current orienteering provision. All Gorsefield staff will be fully trained to deliver and model high-quality practice, enhancing our offer to schools.This session provides an opportunity to see cross-curricular orienteering in action, explore how it supports a progressive and sequenced approach to OAA, and consider how physically active learning can be embedded meaningfully across everyday classroom practice.Schools will be able to explore practical options for implementing Cross-Curricular Orienteering, either through installation within their own school setting or by booking curriculum-linked orienteering experience days for pupils at Gorsefield.
