On Tuesday, March 31st, US-ATMC Director Dr. Richard Dasher will kick-off our “Entrepreneurship in Asian High-Tech Industries” series with “Asia Entrepreneurship Update 2026,” his annual overview of the most recent data about entrepreneurship patterns, ecosystem dynamics, and hot topics in the startup ecosystems of major Asia markets.Dr. Richard Dasher has directed the US-Asia Technology Management Center since 1994 and is Adjunct Professor of East Asia Languages and Cultures at Stanford University. From 1998 – 2017, he served concurrently as Executive Director of the Center for Integrated Systems (now Stanford System X Alliance) and held Consulting Professor appointments in the Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2004, Dr. Dasher became the first non-Japanese person to join the governance of a Japanese national university, serving on the Board of Directors and then on the Management Council of Tohoku University until 2011.
