We are coming together as a community to support the Pelletier family during an incredibly difficult time.

On June 25th, 9-year-old Olivia “Lulu” Pelletier was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Just one week before Lulu’s diagnosis, her mother, Star, was at Boston Children’s Hospital with their son, Colton, for a week of neurological testing. Colton was diagnosed with mesial temporal sclerosis, related to a seizure disorder he developed just over a year ago, and is expected to require brain surgery in the near future.

The family is now navigating the care of two children with significant medical needs. Lulu’s treatment requires frequent trips to Boston, often involving multiple days away from home and overnight stays in hotels or other housing when available. Star has had to step away from work to be the primary caregiver, while Larry continues to work as much as possible while also being there for Lulu’s treatments.

The Pelletier family has deep roots in our community. Larry is a former Bonny Eagle High School football and wrestling athlete, all three of their sons played Bonny Eagle football, and Star is a Gorham High School alum.

To help ease some of the financial burden on the family, we are organizing a raffle fundraiser during Bonny Eagle High School’s Varsity Football “Little Scots Night” on October 9, 2026. The Bonny Eagle Football Boosters will also generously donate the 50/50 proceeds from the game to the family. For those unable to attend, additional opportunities to purchase raffle tickets will be made available to the community.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We are currently seeking donations for the raffle, including gift cards, gift certificates, merchandise, services, themed raffle baskets, experiences, or other items. No contribution is too small, and every donation is sincerely appreciated.

We are also accepting monetary donations that will go directly to the Pelletier family to help with the significant expenses associated with Lulu’s treatment and Colton’s medical care, including travel to and from Boston, gas, lodging, meals, parking, lost income, and everyday household expenses.

Our goal is to help relieve even a small portion of the financial stress this family is facing so they can focus their energy where it belongs — on their children and their family.

We would greatly appreciate having all raffle and monetary donations collected by September 30th.
