About the event

Macbeth
Macbeth
Calling all English GCSE students and literature lovers!
Dickens Theatre Company present the Bard’s bloodiest tragedy!
This unique adaptation of the ‘Scottish Play’ arrives back in the Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre. With the infamous Porter acting as narrator, an ensemble of 6 actors create a cauldron of characters, as Macbeth & Lady Macbeth make their perilous descent towards Hell. Set against a back-drop of wars, witchery and treasonous plotting, Shakespeare’s ambitious Macbeth remains ominously relevant in the 21st Century.

“What’s done cannot be undone!”

Dickens Theatre Company has been successfully staging classic English literature texts for the UK stage since 2015.nAs part of DTC’s ‘Revision on Tour’ (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde), this accessible Macbeth entertains and educates to the bitter end.

Post-matinee Q & A session with the cast & director upon request.
