- **Event Description**: Every New Years Day the Botanic Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI) have a New Year Plant Hunt citizen science project.  This winter we are holding one at Cod Beck reservoir on January 1st 2026.  

Take a walk around Cod Beck Reservoir or up the Drovers Road and photograph any plants you see with a flower.  You might find wild flowers such as groundsel, daisies, dandelions but you could find much more.  

Please send your pictures to CodBeck@Casav.Uk and we will identify them and send the information to the BSBI.

Representatives of Climate Action Stokesley and Villages will be in the main car park from 10.30 and 12.30 on the 1st January.

 Don’t forget to take a picture of anything else that you find interesting like fungus, lichen, trees, birds or whatever else you find interesting.
