Let's Do Enterprise is a series of workshops for new and established SME's in Staffordshire to assist with all aspects of business growth.
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is part of HMRC’s plans to digitise the UK tax system, businesses of all sizes need to prepare for this change.
Did you know? Only 11% of tax returns are filed using Accountancy software. 24% of customers know nothing about MTD and just 66% have a basic knowledge (know MTD by name with a few small details). It is our responsibility to raise awareness with business owners regarding the support available to them and the benefits of using cloud based Accountancy software.
1st April 2019 – Date from which MTD for VAT paying businesses comes into effect. Paper VAT returns will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances from this date.
2020 – MTD comes into effect for income and corporation tax, HMRC will aim to create a fully digital tax system by this point
