LGBT+ Equality: Listening into Action Event
We want to do everything possible to make our Trust a great place to work, where everyone feels valued for the part they play in making our services the best they can be for our service users and their relatives. Ensuring we include our staff in this process is of great importance. This is an approach that many parts of MPFT have embraced.There will be a round of Listening into Action (LiA) Conversations across our Trust where staff across all roles and from diverse backgrounds will come together to share ideas which will lead to action and inform the Trust’s Equality and Inclusion programme.
The aim is to learn from staff and take a journey together to ensure our staff are valued and respected at work.In true LiA style there will be senior leader representation at all four events to encourage visibility and demonstrate the importance of getting things right for staff who work for MPFT.
We aim to give our staff positive work experiences whereby they can fulfil their potential and work within inclusive working environments. We have inspirational outside speakers attending our events and hope to hear from staff about how we could improve their experience of working here so that we can truly promote this important agenda.
Each LiA Conversation will run for two hours, with refreshments. They will be deliberately informal, with discussion in groups and the opportunity to write down anything you would rather not say! Nobody has to be in the spotlight if they don’t want to be. Following the LiA Conversations, we will quickly share back with you the actions that will follow and invite you to be part of making them happen. I look forward to meeting with you at the events.
