Human Connection: Building Relationships for Happier Healthier Lives
Come join us at the St. Thomas Anglican Church for an enriching event focused on the power of human connection in our lives.
As we age, our social circles can quitely shrink. A move, a change in our health, the loss of a loved one, or children living farther away can make everyday connections harder.
Yet social connection is one of the strongest protective factors for our mood, memory and overall wellbeing. This session is about keeping those connections strong and making new ones, in simple ways that fit real life.
Key topics:
How we became a more disconnected sociey and why it shows up in our daily routines.
The costs of social isolation, disconnection, and loneliness
The benefits of human connection for our brains, bodies and communities
Practical strategies to build more connection into daily life, with a take home map of opportunities
This session is brought to you by GenWell, Age Friendly Oxford and Southwestern Public Health.
