Sacred Lands Preservation and Education stewards a 1000 year old archeological site that was once home to the Tocobaga people.10 AM - 12 PM - Guest speakers and presentations.10:00 - Dr. Anna Dixon, USF:  How anthropologists and archeologists know what plants were used by Indigenous people10:45 - Elise Pickett, Urban Harvest - Urban container gardening to grow our own food11:30 - Albert Risemberg, Little Tree Homestead - soil enrichment techniques of Indigenous people and those you can use today12 PM - 1 PM - free plant giveaway. Apply the principles taught by our guest presenters and grow your own native plant at home!Program is free and open to all.
