Creative Pinellas, The Common Thread Yarn Shop & Café, and Green Light Cinema are teaming up for Craft Club Cinema, a monthly movie night made for people who are happiest with a project in their hands.

Bring your current project (or whatever creative hobby you’re into!) and settle in for a cozy night of crafting alongside a favorite comfort film. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, needlepoint,  doodling, coloring, and other movie-friendly crafts are all welcome.

We’ll have lap desks and task lights available to make crafting from your theater seat a little easier, plus slightly brighter house lights and lower movie volume so you can comfortably see your stitches, follow your pattern, and create while you watch.

Come solo and meet other local creatives, grab your craft crew for a night out, or finally make some progress on that WIP while revisiting a movie you love. There’s no need to sit perfectly still or put your project away when the lights go down, this is a theater experience where crafting is part of the fun.

Craft Club Cinema is part of Creative Pinellas’ new Creative Wellbeing initiative designed to harness the power of our local cultural community to boost mental wellness, comfort, and joy.  Whether you are neurodivergent, a chronic multitasker, or just someone who thrives with a project in hand, these screenings will be your safe space to create. 

Spaces are limited, so grab your friends, pack your project bags, and join us for a movie night where you can truly unwind and not put your creativity on pause.
