About the event

Solo Harpsichord Recital
The Bach Society presents its new ABC Series—All of Bach’s Chamber works, with the mission of performing the chamber music of J.S. Bach and those he influenced. These concerts will be approximately one hour in length, no intermission, and will have a post-concert reception where you can enjoy light snacks, refreshments, and meeting the musicians.

Solo Harpsichord Recital
Bach in Contrast
Tami Morse performs a solo harpsichord recital exploring the keyboard music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Featuring Bach’s elegant Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major and the dramatic Toccata in D Minor, the program also includes an exquisite Vivaldi concerto transcription and a lyrical sonata by Johann Christian Bach. Take a journey through the contrasting styles of J.S. Bach, presented in some of his most beloved works.

This event is part of the 2025-26 Full Season Subscription.

Tami Morse, harpsichord, is a soloist and chamber musician, performing regularly with Boulder Bach, the Bach Society of Minnesota, the Lyra Baroque Orchestra, Madison Bach Musicians, Minnesota Bach Ensemble (co-artistic director), and Early Music Minnesota (founding director). She was a finalist in the Jurow International Harpsichord Competition and has been awarded artist grants from the MSAB and MRAC to commission and perform new works for harpsichord, record and tour J. S. Bach’s sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord with colleague Tulio Rondón, and apprentice with master harpsichord builder Ton Amir in Amsterdam. Morse has a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University, and was awarded a prestigious DAAD grant, which she used to study at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne with Ketil Haugsand.
