- **Event Description**: In his 2016 article Bringing Christmas Back Down to Earth, Parker Palmer asks a very important question:  How do we celebrate the Good News at a time when the news is so relentlessly bad, celebrate the light at a time of deepening darkness? This question goes hand in hand with our Advent theme this year "A Weary World Rejoices." Palmer's question gives us a good starting place to consider how we hold on to what is good, even though we are in turmoil.

This year's Christmas pageant by the same name, A Weary World Rejoices, will be an intergenerational celebration of how love–against all odds–triumphs when we take time to notice and practice the truths of Christ's teachings. We will see all of the familiar nativity characters, but also journey into the essential story of how hope prevails over fear.
