“Identity theft and scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated,” warns Detective Ryan Weber, who currently serves as the department’s Financial Crimes and Fraud Investigator. “The best way to reduce identity theft and fraud is through prevention.”
  
The 90-minute presentation aims to educate you on the latest scams, offers tips to prevent identity theft, and provides resources on what to do if you become a victim. 

“In most cases, once your information is shared and money is transferred, it is nearly impossible to get it back,” says Weber. “We’re hoping to spread the word and help people detect these scams before it’s too late."
