Get ready for a summer adventure that delivers a Minnesota "Up-North" day camp that brings lake life right to the city. Nestled on the pristine shores of Lake Phalen, this camp offers kids a chance to unplug, explore, and making lasting memories and friendships.

Campers will paddle, splash and recreate every day in the water. At and around the Phalen cabin, campers will connect with nature through guided hikes, wildlife observation, and hands on environmental learning. Campers will gain confidence and independence while learning traditional outdoor skills.

Camp Phalen offers the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and discovery. Whether it’s your camper’s first outdoor adventure or a return to their favorite summer traditions, Camp Phalen is where the spirit of the Minnesota’s North woods meets the city.

Led by experienced and dynamic counselors, many who are American Red Cross trained/certified lifeguards- safety is and always will be the top priority.

Activities include:
• Paddle sports: kayaks, paddleboards, water rescue challenges
• Outdoor skills: Fire building, maps and orienteering, first aid
• Beach: sports, swimming, water safety and rescue challenges
• Nature: Fishing, Ecosystem exploration
• Campfire games, challenge course, creative crafts

Campers should bring: Backpack, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, swimsuit/towel, weather-appropriate clothing for indoors/outdoors, walking closed-toed shoes, water shoes, rain jacket/poncho, and hat.

Free Lunch: SPPS Food truck

Leave at home: Electronics and valuables.
