The Story of Plastic is a documentary film that presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis, the ugly truth behind plastic pollution, and the community action that is fighting back against this pressing global issue. This film is best for middle school and older. 

All attendees must check-in upon entry to gain free admission to this event.

7:30-8:30 p.m. | Discussion and Q&A with filmmaker Deia Schlosberg

Deia Schlosberg is a director and producer who produced Josh Fox’s climate change film, How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change (Sundance/HBO). Deia also co-produced Awake, A Dream from Standing Rock (Tribeca/Netflix), and The Reluctant Radical (2018). Deia also co-directed and produced Cold Love. Her short film, Backyard, a look at the human impacts of fracking, won two student Emmys (Best Documentary, Bricker Humanitarian Award). She graduated from Washington University, right here in St. Louis, in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth & Planetary Sciences and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communications.
