The school garden can be an incredibly useful teaching tool when educators are adequately supported in planning and maintaining this living laboratory. This hands-on workshop will assist school garden leaders and school community members in building capacity and strong summer maintenance plans to support garden-based learning in the fall and beyond. Learn how to support your school garden by drafting sensible planting plans, task lists, and work schedules, as well as brainstorming community assets and engagement strategies.
Coffee, tea, and light brunchy snacks provided. Shareables welcome, but not required!
Note to network gardeners: Summer seedling pre-order pick-up for network gardens will be open from 9am to 11am at the Carriage House. Pick up your seedlings and head down to Bell for the workshop!
