The knowledge individuals gain can be applied to a broad range of situations, whilst also looking at risk within palliative care.Fully funded by NHS Sussex, this session is open to all Sussex employees in health and social care.If you are based outside of Sussex, a £100 charge applies.Topics include:Developing an understanding about suicide myths, risk and protective factorsAssessing risk of Suicide for patients within the Community and inpatient unitsDevelop appropriate active listening and communication skillsIncrease awareness of legalities, policies and procedures, including assisted suicideReflect upon own resilience and self-careThere is every effort to include trigger warnings where appropriate, however, it is important to acknowledge that we cannot know or understand potential triggers for all attendees.The session is designed to provide training and further knowledge and should not be undertaken as a form of non-clinical therapeutic intervention or counselling.
