Her practice combines voice, pedals, and electronics to transform the human voice into an evolving sonic instrument. Since beginning her exploration of vocal processing in 2022, she has performed and collaborated with Toronto-based musicians while studying Jazz Performance at the University of Toronto, creating music that embraces improvisation, texture, and sonic exploration. 

At Night Music, Judy will take the audience on a sonic journey through free improvisation, mixing her voice with pedals and electronics to create a world of unexpected textures, colours, and sounds.

Night Music is an improvisational music series held on the third Thursday of every month at The Ship Pub. It begins with an hour-long performance that serves as the anchor for the evening, after which the stage is opened up to anyone with an interest in improvising. Host Craig Squires puts together inspired groups of musicians who jam until their sonic exploration reaches a natural conclusion. Bring your instrument and join in on the fun!
