We will walk from 50 Harbour Drive through the Arch and down Water street to City Hall. 
�
Downtown is a Registered Heritage District, heritage zone 1. We recognize the value in protecting our historic tangible culture. 
�
The city continues to deteriorate the Envision Development Plan and Heritage Regulations to allow developers full access to our historic community.
�
For decades the only business and cultural space on Harbour Drive has been Eastern Edge. The only new development which has occurred on Harbour Drive was a fence and then franchises. 
�
The city continues to devalue the most important and iconic elements of our City and Tourism Industry. We have over 40 cruise ships a year visiting the city. We have hundreds of conferences, and thousands of tourists contributing to a $1.6 Billion dollar industry of Tourism & Culture. 
�
157 Water and its iconic tunnel has been approved unanimously by city council for demolition. They rushed the permit without a drawing or proposal of what will be built there. The city is trusting the developers to honor the original elements of the heritage structures. 
The city voted against heritage designation of the archway and the facade to protect it from demolition. 
�
We want the city to create an inventory of the Heritage buildings in St John’s. We want protection, a plan and increased funding for Heritage Buildings. 
�
We want a plan and protection for Limeville, Signal Hill Campus and the Geo Centre. This is our neighbourhood, our city and we demand participatory planning and a vision that aligns with residents not just developers.
