Vocalist Katie Hopkins and guitarist Brad Jefford have been musical collaborators for over 20 years. Their paths have intertwined through performances with Jazz East Big Band, the Jimmy Thomson Quartet, the Brad Jefford Septet, and the Katie Hopkins Trio, among many others.

Katie’s sophisticated jazz vocals and Brad’s expressive guitar work have matured alongside each other, creating a dynamic built on mutual trust, fearless improvisation, and a deep understanding of musical storytelling. Their duo work distills years of collaboration into something intimate yet adventurous—where every performance feels like a conversation between old friends, full of nuance, spontaneity, and soul.

Whether revisiting timeless standards or exploring original compositions, Brad and Katie invite audiences into a space where risk meets resonance. Join them and see where the music takes you.

Our max capacity is 35 so larger groups (>3 people) should purchase tickets well ahead of time. Walk-ins may be available on the day of the show - please drop in or call 709-722-9167 to confirm.

Our Kitchen closes at 3:00pm, but snacks and baked treats are available till 9:00.

Please arrive at least 15 mins early to get seated and avoid the rush. Groups of 3 or more will be assigned a table; free seating for singles and couples. Please check in with our staff at the front before seating yourself.

Seats will be held till 30 mins after the show start, after which they may be given to walk-ins. Tickets can alsop be transferred - login to https://locarius.io/.

Refunds can be requested up to 1 day before the show date. Please contact Coffee@batterycafe.ca to request a refund.
