Paper marbling is one of the oldest and most captivating decorative arts, where colour, water, and movement combine to create patterns that are both intentional and unpredictable. In this illustrated artist's talk, Robin Ashby explores the history of marbling, his own artistic practice, and the influences that have shaped his work. Through stories, images, and examples, he examines the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression, inviting audiences to see marbling not simply as decoration, but as a unique visual language.
