About the event

9th Annual "FEED YOUR NEIGHBORS" Benefit Concert & Food Drive at Stetsons
You are cordially invited to our annual "FEED YOUR NEIGHBORS" Sundays at Stetson's holiday season benefit concert and food drive. Come spend the afternoon with us as we help those in need in our community, while enjoying our stellar lineup.

This incredible show will be held on December 14th from 2-4 pm at Beluthahatchee, the home of Stetson Kennedy.

Please bring non-perishable/non-breakable food donations. Pet food donations are welcome too. Proceeds go to the Daily Bread Food Pantry.

Weather permitting we will be outside, so plese feel free to bring a comfortable chair, or use one of ours.

First up will be John French, who has spent more than 35 years as a creative musician, beginning at fifteen when he taught himself guitar and started writing his own songs. His 2011 solo album All Roads earned recognition for its distinctive blend of Americana, bluegrass, folk, and country. Today, John is nearing completion of his newest solo project, Land of Freedom, featuring an array of seasoned Florida musicians who bring rich, rootsy character to the album’s Americana sound. John is especially delighted to return to Beluthahatchee, where the spirit of folklore, activism, and authentic Florida music continues to inspire his work.

The second half of the show will top off the afternoon with Michael Lagasse'. Michael is a musician from Saint Augustine, Florida and is best know for his role as a songwriter, guitarist, and singer for the 5-piece festival band called the Wild Shiners. Mike recorded his most recent solo record on the white sand banks of Gatorbone Lake. The record was inspired by a sense of discovery and love for places within, and the songs of Florida as described by Mike’s own songwriting, but also some Floridian touchstones - Don Oja-Dunaway and Lon Williamson to name a few who are covered on the record. The songs were influenced by the landscape, the people, and the songs that Mike grew up around and to where he keeps returning to in his adult life for inspiration. Listen to Mike's music on YouTube HERE.

When considering what to donate, think about what you’d be comfortable serving your family. Take a look through your pantry, or even better, go through your hurricane supply box, and bring as much food that you can to help support this worthy cause.

This is a not-for-profit venue, and they ask a minimum $10 donation per person to help support valued artists and continue to bring you the finest live folk and Americana music in the region.
