2 days of machine knitting classes.
Pre-registration for specific classes is not required.
No need to bring your knitting machine to this event.
Registration limited to 25 attendees to maintain small class sizes.
Demonstrators will be teaching on these machines and accessories: standard machine, ribber, Brother electronic machines (programming), Silver Reed electronic machines (computer aided knitting), punchcard machines, mid-gauge or bulky machines, lace carriage, Intarsia Carriage, Garter Carriage.
Class topics will include: cast-on and bind off choices, pattern design, embellishments and edgings, design motifs, seams and finishing techniques, machine knit lace fabrics, tuck fabrics, 2 color Fairisle fabrics. A special session will focus on the Garter Carriage attachment. A session about care and maintenance of knitting machines will be scheduled. There are also several Basic Beginner sessions scheduled.
A schedule will be given each morning so participants can choose classes. Changing classes at the last minute is allowed.

Join us on a “Yarn Tour” through the yarn rooms where Carole Wurst will discuss appropriate yarns for the knitting machine using her decades of experience in the industry.
Also: a round table discussion on Sweater Construction or Ribbing and Ribbing Alternatives. Bring your favorite pattern, questions, or techniques to share.
Bring a CONTEST ENTRY: Two categories: adult sweater, or wearable accessory. Items must include machine knitting (can be hybrid - with hand work or crochet) and made in the past 3 years.
