Project Connect participants receive critical services.About this EventTri-County Action Program, Inc. (Tri-CAP) is the fiscal host for the Project Connect event held annually. Local providers serve on the organizing committee for the event which includes county social services and non-profit agencies. Tri-CAP was incorporated in 1965, becoming the first community action program in non-metro Minnesota. For more than 60 years, Tri-CAP has been fulfilling its mission to invest in people and build the communities that comprise our tri-county region of central Minnesota. Through advocacy, outreach, education and assistance, the Tri-CAP team has helped thousands of low- and moderate-income residents achieve and maintain social and economic self-sufficiency and in turn, strengthen the very fabric of our communities.St. Cloud Project Connect is a local event held annually in October at the St. Cloud River's Edge Convention Center. We have consistently tracked data of 400-500 households participating for the past several years. The event is held in support of those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Project Connect participants receive critical services in a one-stop shop method where area agencies provide hands-on application assistance and resources for households in need.
