- **Event Description**: In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, Distress Centre Niagara is hosting our 21st Annual Suicide Awareness Gathering.

The purpose of this fundraising event is to support individuals that have been impacted by suicide, to increase awareness in our community of this difficult subject and to help us raise important funds that allow us to offer our 24/7 telephone and online chat and text support programs.

This year's walk will be held on Thursday September 10th at the Grantham Lions Hall located at 732 Niagara St. in St. Catharines.

New this year is the opportunity to enjoy a catered boxed dinner before our guest speakers take the podium at 7:00pm. 

Dinners are available for $20 each and must be pre-ordered beforehand. They will not be sold at the door. Dinner will be individual boxes that contain sub sandwiches, salad, veggies and a dessert. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are  available.  Please indicate your preference at time of order.

Please check in at the registration table between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Dinner boxes will be available beginning at 6:15pm. The speakers will begin at 7:00pm. 

This all ages and family friendly event is open to the public. Please note that you don't have to purchase a dinner to attend.  Pre-registration is preferred. While the gathering itself is free, nominal donations are welcome in advance or at the door.
