- **Event Description**: Join us  at Fleetville Community Centre and we can help you repair household fabrics and electrical items you might otherwise throw away.About this EventFleetville Community Centre in association with St Albans District Fixers are pleased to announce that bookings are now open for the Repair Fair.In addition to the usual electrical and electronic repairs, we also offer clothing and fabric repairs and minor alterations. Due to high demand, bookings are limited to one item per person (or one electrical plus one clothing at a different time). If time permits we may be able to look at a second, or at least give you a brief assessment.This is not just about the repair, we also hope you will learn something about your device, why it broke and possibly even how to fix it yourself another time, or how to choose a more durable replacement. This is why we don't accept devices simply being dropped off for later collection: we are keen to involve you in the repair!Fixing times can vary considerably and hence your booked time is not a firm fixing slot, rather a means of smoothing the flow and avoiding excessive wait times. Tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be available while you wait, and a chance to chat with the hosts and other visitors.
