We’re partnering with the Squamish River Watershed Society to remove invasive species growing along the Mamquam River Dyke.

We will remove invasive species, including common burdock and Himalayan balsam. These species threaten local biodiversity by outcompeting native plants, but with your help, we can stop their spread and make a difference!

No experience is necessary—we’ll provide guidance on plant identification and removal techniques.

What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Gardening gloves and tools (if you have them - otherwise we have some you can borrow!)
- Clothes may get dirty, so older clothes are recommended.
- Closed-toe shoes
- Dress for the weather!

Parking is available either on the opposite side of Government Road by the Squamish Public Works Yard or further North on Government Road by Haru Fusion Cuisine.
