The dark winter nights are approaching, the temps are dropping, the rainclouds are forming... You know what that means?! IT'S DANCE SEASON!!!
Come shelter from the cold and join us for some fun, cozy and playful partner dance shenanigans!
We are thrilled to announce that Gerald Cote, owner and teacher at the G 'n R latin and swing dance school right here in Squamish, will be teaching the All-Levels lesson to kick us off. Since moving to Squamish with his family, the retired competitive west coast swing dancer has been growing the local partner dance scene from scratch! Full bio and lesson topics coming soon. Expect groovy moves and gooey stretch / compression connections...
We are also flattered to welcome back Vancouver's Fusion DJ and dancer extraordinaire, Pomona, who will surely be dropping tunes that will get your shoulders shruggin' and your booty bumpin'. Psych is high!!! Mark the date.

🍂 WHAT IS FUSION? 🍂
Fusion is improvised partner dancing, where the only rules or constraints are respect and safety for yourself and those around you. Think: curiosity, playfulness and connection, rather than executing a rigid set of moves or steps.
Sound intriguing? Why not come give it a try!
🍂 COMMUNITY VALUES 🍂
Fusion dancing is for every body. Come alone, come with friends, dip a toe in or plunge in the deep end. However you want to dance, we are here for it - whether you are completely new to partner dancing or have a background in any dance style!
Fusion dancing at its core is about inclusivity and openness. We cannot assume someone wants to follow or lead based on their apparent gender - just ask them! We're also all about being great at respecting peoples boundaries and bodies, paying attention and using your words if you're unsure. Trust us, asking is way less awkward than getting it wrong!
Creating safer spaces takes a whole community! If we feel someone is not upholding our core values of respect and compassion for all, a host may ask them to leave.
🍂
We welcome all ages, genders, races, backgrounds, sexualities, perspectives and abilities.
We humbly acknowledge that this event is taking place on stolen land of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation, and offer free entry to Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation members (within reasonable capacity, plz reach out in advance).
