- **Event Description**: Hello Mini Drivers! A day drive is planned for anyone interested in joining the MINI roadtrippers (who are doing the multiday drive from Vancouver Island, across BC, into Alberta), on Friday, July 17th, 2026.  Any interested daytripper MINIs will meet up at Porteau cove by 9:30am (find the MINI group), where we will rendezvous with the roadtrip group that's coming in from Sechelt to Horseshoe Bay. They will be at this stop between 10am - 10:30am, giving everyone a quick chance to say "Hi" to other club members. 

**MINI Drivers Choose Your Own Adventure after Porteau Cove**

 The plan is to take a big group shot at Porteau Cove before heading up the Sea to Sky Highway all the way past Squamish and Whistler, to end at Pemberton. This is a 109km drive which is expected to take about 1.5hrs) There will be no stops between these two points for the road tripper group. Unlike previous drives, there is a lot of highway driving to be done, so it will not be possible to all stay in a set driving group, you may end up in smaller packs on the highway. Do your best to stick with some MINIs rather than drive solo. Rule #37 is to Rally Together.

The roadtrippers have planned to make a lunch stop at Mile One Eating House (7330 Arbutus St Unit#7, ) in Pemberton between 12noon - 1:30pm, so if you are joining them, just meet with the group again at the that stop.  Please make sure you can Confirm your attendance if you plan on coming for the lunch and also leave a comment in the post, so that a reservation can be made for you to join the lunch group. If you only list yourself as "Interested", we won't know if you are coming for any part of the drive or even the lunch.  Ideally, if you can let me know through a DM or a comment in this event post that you want to attend this lunch in Pemberton, do so by end of day Monday, July 13th so we can get an accurate number count to share with the Mile One restaurant.

Any daytrippers still wanting more driving excitement can continue their "choose-their-own-adventure" and continue driving with the road trippers group further north after lunch to the following stops:
- Duffy Lake Viewpoint (2:30-2:45pm)
- Seton Lake Viewpoint (3:30-4:00pm)
- Lillooet (Abundance Artisan Bakery stop) 4:30-5:00pm

Additionally, feel free to plan your own drive back to Vancouver, there is no set return time, as some families may choose to explore Whistler or Squamish on the way back down from Pemberton.
