Join us for an enriching and transformative Centered Riding® clinic led by Sue Falkner-March, a highly respected Level 4 Centered Riding Instructor and long-time student of Sally Swift.
This three-day learning experience is designed for riders of all disciplines who wish to deepen their connection with their horses, refine their body awareness, and ride with greater balance, softness, and clarity.
What to Expect from Centered Riding®
Centered Riding® is an approach developed by Sally Swift that blends classical principles with basic body-mind awareness techniques. Through a combination of unmounted bodywork and mounted exploration, participants will learn how to:
- Develop improved balance, alignment, and stability
- Release unnecessary tension for softer, more effective aids
- Access core strength and coordinated movement
- Improve communication with the horse through clarity and feel
- Ride with increased comfort, ease, and confidence
- Help their horses move with greater willingness, lightness, and athleticism
Horses naturally respond to a rider who is balanced, centered, and mentally present. Centered Riding helps you cultivate these qualities so you can support your horse in becoming more supple, relaxed, and emotionally regulated — creating a harmonious partnership.
About Sue Falkner-March
Sue has dedicated nearly four decades to Centered Riding after first working with Sally Swift and her senior instructors in 1986. She shares that Sally’s concepts brought “joy, comfort, and ease” into her own body, transforming the willingness and athleticism of her horses.
Sue carries a depth of experience across complementary modalities, including:
Advanced TTEAM / TTouch® Practitioner (Level 2) — humane methods supporting equine body awareness and physical/mental balance
Connected Riding® Instructor — a bodywork-influenced approach that enhances functional movement and comfort for both horse and rider
Her work is rooted in respect for the intelligence and generosity of the horse. Over the years, she has developed a teaching style that helps riders of all levels become more aware, balanced, and effective, while helping horses feel more understood and comfortable in their bodies.
