She has been known by many names: Goddess, Daimon, Anima Guardian Angel, Fate, Muse, The Woman With Golden Hair. In many cultures, initiation into adulthood was the communion between you and Her. This is the marriage at the end of so many folktales: not between a man and a woman, but between a man and the Divine. This union brings balance, health, and wholeness to the entire community, which includes the psyche, the ancestors, and the land. And through it, culture is made. For most of us living in the modern world, we’ve lost almost all of that. Without learning from this realm, we continually confuse this divine partner for a human, or, just as tragic, we decide that She has foreclosed upon us and is gone for good. But this archetypal presence is still out there, waiting for the heart-laboured gift of your devotion and servitude.
