- **Event Description**: We would like to acknowledge that we are gathering on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

WHAT:
What the heck is a bike parave you say??
It's a rave and parade on a bike all at once! And it's happening here in Squamish!
Come celebrate the culmination of Pride month in Squamish at our 3rd annual Pride Bike ParaVe + post parave dance + chill in the park!
We welcome all humans to get ready for an evening of biking, music and grooving!

WHEN: June 22nd @ 530pm-9pm
Meet up at O Siyam Pavilion (in Junction Park downtown) to decorate our bikes so that we can ride in style through town! We will provide some accessories to decorate yourselves and supplies to decorate your bike but please get creative and colourful with it! Costumes encouraged ?

WHERE: The bike paraVe will leave from Junction Park at 6:30pm sharp. Details of the route will be posted closer to the date.
There will be a mobile sound system with DJS playing music to spin your wheels and pump your tires (+ your legs!) We will be riding for about 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace so make sure you're fuelled up and bring some hydration for the way! Feel Free to bring your own portable speaker and join the Jam (pre-set playlist will be share don this page before the event) on your bike so we can get lots of sound travellign throughout the bike gang. 
We will be ending the event back at the Junction Park (downtown) where we will continue to groove to some great tunes by a local DJ and enjoy chats in the parks. 
Snacks will be provided (ourtesy of the Squamish small neighbourhood grants!)

WHO: This event is welcome to anyone any everyone but of course, the need to have a bicycle/e-bike/scooter in order join the bike parave is necessary. We welcome people to join for any or all of it!

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR ALL BIKE RAVERS:
We want this to be a safe and fun event for all and if all goes well have more in the future. Here a few bike hacks to ensure that happens.
Please be respectful and follow the rules of the road. Wear a helmet and be respectful on the road!
We will not be stopping for people if they have a bike maintenance issue. Please make sure your bike is ready to go for the event.
This event is public community event. We do not have clean up crews, please have a place for any trash you may create along the way.
