2025 Blessing of the Animals

Our Blessing of the Animals for 2025 will be on Sunday, October 12th. Bring your furry little friends for a blessing. Please remember to put them on a leash or in a carrier. Large animals (think your cows, donkeys, goats and horses) will receive their blessings outside.

The Blessing of the Animals, a tradition where pets and other animals are blessed, is rooted in the Christian celebration of St. Francis of Assisi's feast day on October 4th. It is inspired by St. Francis's love and respect for all creatures, and his belief that all of God's creations are interconnected.
