- **Event Description**: This writing workshop will help creative writers looking to build community and improve their writing skills through prompts presented in a variety of learning styles. Participants will focus on one particular skills (theme, creating a sense of place, developing a character) based off the prompt. 

Participants will be provided time to write and solicit feedback if they choose. Each group will end with a provided list of resources/ cultural opportunities in western Massachusetts for writers to continue to draw inspiration from.

- June 28 - Imagery - create pieces filled with imagery based off of paintings/sculptures from local museums

- July 26 - Sense of Place/Setting- inspired by local places such as forest park, central library, the clock tower, etc., or a place that evokes a strong memory for the writer

- August 23 - Improvisation - writing inspired from various pieces of music (e.g., jazz, classical, rock)
