Have you ever wanted to venture into soap making but haven't had the confidence in knowing how to start and how to make it safely? This workshop is for you!
Local soap maker, Heather Duff will guide participants in the craft of soap making while ensuring you have the necessary tools and knowledge to safely craft beautiful bars at home. You will learn about natural colorants, certain plant and oil benefits, and even skin care concerns, along with "toppers," molds and swirl techniques.
Participants will go home with:
- PPE (goggles and gloves)
- Several recipes
- A list of what is needed for making at home
- A short guide of the dos and don'ts of soaping
- One cured bar of soap and one bar that you cut in class (ready in 30 days)
Heather has been making her own unique handcrafted vegan lye soaps for more than 13 years and teaching others to enjoy this traditional, heritage skill.

This workshop is for adults and hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For locals: just out east Sunshine and around the bend from Turner's Station off J Hwy. The address and directions are emailed upon booking.
