We are hosting Pictures with Santa Claus for a Cause to support a local family in a truly challenging season. Many of you know Wesley and Marie White, whose 5-year-old son, Hunter, is facing a difficult medical journey.
Hunter has right-sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy and focal epilepsy, resulting from a perinatal stroke. He is preparing for selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery, a major step toward improving his mobility and giving him the best chance to walk independently throughout his life. This surgery is just the beginning of what will be a long, intensive year of treatment.
The Whites will spend an extended period in Jacksonville for the procedure and the demanding physical therapy that follows, along with many return trips for continued care. Hunter will also need a new leg brace and ongoing support as he heals. During this time, Marie will be out of work to care for him full-time, manage travel, and guide his recovery. Wesley will also need to take time off as needed to support his family.
Our goal is to wrap this family in love, prayer, and practical support during a year that will test their strength in every way.
