It's 2004, and Shelby Hinkley, eighth grade social pariah, has decided to kidnap the love of her life, Hollywood dreamboat and Spider-man icon, Tobey Maguire, and marry him in her basement. This dark-comedy examines the dangers of parasocial relationships and the self-destructive nature of stardom while exploring biting questions like how far is too far to feel human connection? And if knowledge is necessary for love, what does it mean to know someone?This show is recommended for ages 14+ due to mild violence, strong language and innuendo, and mature themes like abuse and sexuality. The show also features a few scenes with flashing lights that may be a risk to photosensitive viewers.
