Mindy Linder, ILLUMINATION Project Manager and Community Engagement Specialist for the Springfield Public Library and History Museum

The team had the honor to represent Springfield History Museum and our community at the 2025 International Conference for Indigenous Archives, Libraries & Museums last fall in Cherokee, North Carolina. They presented ILLUMINATION as a scalable project model to inspire others to center and celebrate community-led stories. Each team member also attended a variety of rich sessions, talks and programs to study other successful projects and practices internationally.

The team will reflect on the AIAN ILLUMINATION project year, sharing highlights from the experience and the engagement with our local community, as well as the experience of sharing and learning with Indigenous archive, library and museum professionals from all over the world.
