HEARTsafe Eugene Springfield Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor/Co-Survivor Meeting

We are continuing our Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor (SCA) and Co-Survivor Support Group. Anyone impacted by Sudden Cardiac Arrest may attend. We will have this online (DM us for the link) and in person at RiverBend hospital in room 200CD (up the stairwell from the main lobby, rooms to the left)

4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Please see attached resources for SCA Survivors and Co-Survivors ❤ Peer support groups have been shown to be effective in promotion of health and reduction of psychological distress in light of the increase in survivorship of SCA.

Meeting agenda options:

• Sharing survivor and co-survivor stories
• Sharing survivor and co-survivor adaptation resources
• Sharing survivor healing strategies related to:
o Medical/Medications/Devices
o Physical/Activity
o Memory
o Mental Health/Emotions
o Diet
o Work
o School
o Family
o Meaning/Purpose/Preparedness/Response
• Connecting survivors with survivors
• Increasing awareness of sudden cardiac arrest awareness
• Provide further resources/opportunities to be involved
• Invite guest speakers for topics like
o Activity after SCA
o Nutrition after SCA
o Life Planning after SCA
