In honor of this year’s theme, you may find some horror, spooky, supernatural, or otherwise strange adventures among the available tables—but individual table descriptions will tell you what to expect from the adventure you choose.Most importantly, we're getting together to roll some dice, tell some stories, and raise money for children and families in crisis.All event proceeds benefit Isabel’s House.🎲 Reserving Your SeatChoose the game session you would like to play when registering through Eventbrite.Your Eventbrite reservation holds your seat—it does NOT include payment for your session.There is a $5 donation per player, per session, which will be collected at Meta-Games on the day of the event when you check in.You do not pay the $5 through Eventbrite.That $5 donation is the ONLY required purchase to participate in your reserved game. Everything else offered during Campaign for a Cause is completely optional and simply gives you more ways to have fun while helping us raise additional money for Isabel’s House.Cash and card will be accepted for event purchases.🪙 Fortune Coins — Change Your Fate for $1!Need another chance at that terrible roll?Throughout Campaign for a Cause, players can purchase Fortune Coins for $1 each and spend them during their game to alter their fortunes at the table.At minimum, one Fortune Coin can be spent to reroll a die.But your GM may have much more devious—or powerful—ways for you to spend them!Individual tables may offer special Fortune Coin rewards such as spending multiple coins to receive a hint, gain an advantage, trigger a special effect, turn an attack into an automatic critical hit, or otherwise bend the rules in your favor.Each GM will have their own Fortune Coin menu, so check out what your coins can accomplish when you sit down to play!Fortune Coins will be available during check-in and breaks, and our event staff will also circulate through the game room so you can purchase more during gameplay.Have coins left when your adventure ends? Turn your unused Fortune Coins back in for raffle tickets at a 1:1 rate!✨ Mystery Buffs — $5 EachFeeling lucky?Before your game begins, you can purchase up to TWO Mystery Buffs for $5 each.Each Mystery Buff contains a randomized bonus specifically designed to work with the game you're about to play.You might draw something as simple as a useful stat bonus or special item—or get lucky and pull a much rarer ability capable of dramatically changing your adventure.Mystery Buffs come in five possible tiers:Common • Uncommon • Rare • Legendary • EpicThe more powerful the tier, the harder it is to pull!Unlike Fortune Coins, Mystery Buffs can only be purchased during check-in BEFORE your session begins, so if you want to test your luck, make sure you grab yours before heading to the table.🎟️ Raffle & FundraisingWe'll have a prize raffle during Campaign for a Cause, with raffle tickets available for $1 each at the check-in table.And remember: any Fortune Coins you still have when your session ends can also be exchanged for raffle tickets!We'll pause the games at 6:00 PM for the raffle drawing, so stick around to see what you win.🍪 Concessions for a CauseGaming makes you hungry.We'll have treats, baked goods, snacks, and other concessions available for purchase in the game room throughout the event at a variety of price points.Grab something between encounters, refuel during your game break, and help us add a little more to the day's fundraising total while you're at it.👕 Limited-Edition Campaign for a Cause T-ShirtsWe're also creating a special Meta-Games Unlimited × Isabel’s House Campaign for a Cause T-shirt for the event!Shirts will be offered primarily through preorder, with a limited number of additional shirts expected to be available on October 3.Final pricing will depend on production costs but is expected to be approximately $30, with profits from shirt sales benefiting Isabel’s House.Watch Meta-Games Unlimited's social media for the final design, price, and preorder announcement.❤️ Why We're PlayingIsabel’s House provides immediate refuge for children whose families are experiencing crisis, helping keep children safe while providing families with the support and resources they need to regain stability.Campaign for a Cause is our opportunity to bring the tabletop community together around that mission.Whether you contribute your $5 session donation, tempt fate with a handful of Fortune Coins, try your luck with a Mystery Buff, grab a snack, buy a shirt, enter the raffle—or do all of the above—every little bit helps us build the day's donation to Isabel’s House.So grab your dice, choose your adventure, and join us at Meta-Games Unlimited for a day of gaming for a good cause.Life is scary.
