- **Event Description**: We are making our yearly Spring return to the Buck Creek Corridor for a follow up clean up of our shopping cart project last April! 

We will have 2 volunteer teams for this event: A kayak extraction team that will run the creek and collect trash in the riverway, and a separate team of volunteers that will be assisting on land with general trash pick up and helping transport debris from the kayak team. 

We will have mini booth stations set up at Sherman Avenue Park, as well as the Springfield Museum of Art that will have trash bags, onion bags, and refreshments for all volunteers. 

Meet up time and briefing for all volunteers will be at Snyder Whitewater Park. Our team leaders will brief both volunteer squads and set the shuttle for the kayak run. This event will be sponsored by the city of Springfield, and we are projected to have 30-40 total volunteers! Pizza and drinks will be provided to every volunteer, and we will have some fun at the playwave after the cleanup is all done. We hope to see you there! Last year we made the Sunday newspaper, let's do it again!!
