James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room is a groundbreaking novel that explores themes of identity, sexuality, and love in a time when such topics were taboo. Set in Paris in the 1950s, the novel follows the story of David, an American expatriate who falls in love with Giovanni, a young Italian bartender.

Join GLO at our Banned Book Club, where we'll be reading a series of books that have been or could be banned, followed by discussions on the books, novels, and writings.

This is a SAFE SPACE and is open to allies and open-minded individuals. The GLO Center works hard to provide a safe environment for its community. All who are willing to listen and add to the atmosphere in a safe and open manner are welcome!
